Strategy, Design & Redesign Services
- Design twice. Build once."
- Tamara Adlin
Every strategy, design or redesign should be motivated by and built on a solid, shared understanding of your target customers’ goals. Almost everyone I talk to says ‘we already have a pretty good understanding of our customers’ based on previous research, or a persona effort from several years ago, or a lot of interaction with the customer base. It’s true that you already have a great deal of insight about your customers, but translating this insight into excellent customer experiences requires a little more work.
Business, Brand, & Product Strategy
Excellent customer experiences aren’t just about usability. The best web sites and products blend business- and customer goals into interactions that make companies successful and customers happy. The earlier you engage me, the more I can help you—because I believe that customer centrism should be fully integrated into your methods for designing your business and brand, not just your products.
Designing or Redesigning Customer Experiences
At some point, you’re going to want to design or redesign your site—and you’re going to have some important choices to make. Do you want to simply update the graphic design of the site? Do you need to port your entire site to a new platform, and figure it’s a good time to ‘tweak’ the design of the interface? Do you know there are customer experience problems with your existing design? Do you want to start from scratch and completely overhaul your site? Do you even know what you want to do? And how are you going to decide how much time, money, and effort to invest in your ‘redesign’ project? I’ll help you answer these questions before you start your project and help you create excellent new experiences for your customers.
By the way…
Are these little road signs 'intuitive?' Not really. But I don't think anything is 'intuitive' when it comes to computers. 'intuitive' responses in people are things like "it's a lion! Run away!" not "click a button to make something happen." However, these little icons and their actions are discoverable and learnable. And, because this content isn't critical, that's just fine.
